Of course, those of us here at E8 Storage already knew that!  As do our customers, who have turned to E8 Storage for their most demanding workloads.  It’s even better when industry leaders like Gartner recognize your hard work and highlight you as a
“Cool Vendor in Storage Technologies” like they did in their Nov 2018 report.

Each year, Gartner identifies cool vendors in key technology areas and publishes a series of research reports highlighting interesting, new, and innovative vendors, products and services.  What makes us cool is that the E8 Storage platform is one of the few solutions designed from the ground up to take advantage of all NVMe flash storage media and NVMe over Fabrics (NVMe-oF) data center protocols.

But why should customers care?  In Gartner’s own words:
E8 Storage should appeal to I&O leaders looking for an ultra-low-latency storage platform that can address highly transactional workloads and latency-sensitive applications.  Customers looking to replace local SSDs for high-frequency trading and real-time analytics platforms will find E8 Storage an attractive option to improve resource utilization and availability. Enterprise architects looking to modernize their data centers, improve compute and storage efficiency, and introduce converged RDMA networks will find that the E8 Storage architecture offers simplicity, performance and lower TCO, compared with legacy infrastructures.

Being named a 2018 Cool Vendor by Gartner is definitely exciting news for E8 Storage, and we think it’s exciting news for you too.
